The member representing Ijumu Constituency in Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon Olusola Kilani Olumo says he will donate his monthly salary to his constituents beginning from March 2020 to cushion the harsh effect of the sit-at-home directive of the state government.

The Lawmaker announced this while presenting food items for onward distribution to people across Ijumu Local Government Areas.

Hon Kilani Olumo said plans have been concluded to use the money to purchase food items to be distributed from time to time

According to him, the move is part of his contributions to the welfare of his Constituents in this period.

He said he feels their pains and hardship, pointing out that the sit-at-home was part of government effort to contain the spread of Covid-19 which has killed thousands all over the world.

The Lawmaker urged the people not to panic as their welfare will be adequately taken care of during this period.
While calling on other prominent Ijumu sons and daughters to come to the aid of the people at this time, the Lawmaker reiterated his commitment to the upliftment of their standard of living.
Hon Kilani Olumo appealed to the people of Ijumu to comply 100% with the directive of government to avoid social gatherings, pointing out that hand washing and personal hygiene are important for their safety.

He said the distribution of the items is beyond party affiliation and religious background and solicited for more prayers to enable him succeed.
