The chairman, medical and health workers Union of Nigeria, kogi state chapter, Comrade Gabriel Amari has charged health workers in the state to remain strong and determined as the world battles with the corona virus pandemic.

Comrade Amari while speaking to newsmen on the sideline of this year workers day lauded health workers for their relentless effort to serve the nation.

Amari praised health workers for their patriotism in the state stressing that their efforts to mankind will not go unrewarded.

According to him, health workers in the state have continued to exhibit unequalled patriotism, despite the daunting challenges in the overall effort to mitigate the poor remuneration of health workers.

He urged the state government to put in the front burner the welfare of health workers in the state adding that they had suffered for too long.

While congratulating health workers on this year may day, the labour leader however called on the government to provide the necessary gadgets for health workers as they are in the front to combat the corona virus pandemic that has killed several persons in the world.

He reminded them to adhered to all precautionary measures of hand washing, use of face masks, use of hand gloves as well as social distance.

Comrade Amari urged workers not to be deterred in their commitment towards building a virile society.
