Expulsion of Abubakar Ibrahim From PDP: A Joke, Null, Void, Decision Borne Out of Ignorance – Alh. Sani Zukaya Usman.

A Member of the Peoples Democratic Party in OMALA LGA, Sani Zukaya Usman, has described as unfortunate the purported expulsion of Abubakar Ibrahim, a Governorship Aspirant in the last election from the party, as a joke taken too far and a decision borne out of ignorance.

Usman in a chat with newsmen in Lokoja, described the expolsion as one only on paper as at no time did the party invite him, meet with him, hear from the aspirant to hear his own side of the defense, before arriving at such a funny decision.

According to Usman, ” when was Abubakar invited. He didn’t appear before the executives at the Ward. Is expulsion the solution to the issues the party should grapple with now?

They said he was not funding the party. Have they forgotten so soon that he was behind and major contributor to the funding in all elections in the local government we had last year?.

People should not be mischievous, and choose to play an ethnic agenda and by laying false claims all for political gains in trying to solve the issues on the ground.

Have they forgotten also so soon that this same Abubakar Ibrahim was the highest donor when we had a bye Election for Lokoja Kogi Federal Constituency and many other support the party enjoyed?. How come they suddenly realized that he was not participating in the activities of the party?.

When did it become an issue of anti party to seek Justice when at the Appeal court, the Justices of the court left the issues of candidacy for the Supreme Court to decide?. Are they saying he ought to continue with a matter he felt aggrieved over?

People should be educated on how the court works by picking up a copy of the Appeal court and read it line by line to know that whether you like it or not, Abubakar Ibrahim must be an interested party in the outcome of the Supreme Court ruling because it was an open ruling that didn’t have an end for the parties in the last PDP Governorship primaries.

Rather than over heat up the polity, one would have expected that more amicable means to resolve the issues and not create difficulty for the PDP is sought out so that even after the supreme Court the party can still be a one United family.

Usman urged the State party to call to order those fanning the embers of discord within the ranks and file of the party, pointing out that the party at the Ward as claimed was not in the picture of the current happenings, described the expulsion of the Aspirant as null and void.
