Kogi Central ICT Hubs Basis for Youths’ Self-reliance – Oseni
Kogi Central Senator and Chairman, Senate Committee on Information and Communication Technology/Cybercrime, Senator Yakubu Oseni has explained that the ongoing construction of world class ICT Hub across his constituency is meant to redirect youths’ survival instinct to that of self-reliance.
This was made known today through the lawmaker’s Personal Assistant, Mall. Abdulmumin Yusuf who recently led some stakeholders and ICT experts on an on-the-spot inspection of the projects.
Senator Oseni who further revealed that the hub, which will be equipped and powered by solar panels in order to ensure uninterrupted power supply, expressed optimism that it will not only be beneficial to his constituents now but posterity, only if it is well managed.
The lawmaker who has fervently reassured his constituents that he will leave no stone unturned in fulfilling his campaign promises had earlier this year disclosed that there will be construction of more ultra-modern ICT hubs and CBT Centres across the five local government areas of his constituency.
While reacting to the development, an elder statesman who pleaded anonymity asserted that Kogi Central Senatorial District has never had it better than this political dispensation. He argued that Senator Oseni who is known for prudence and sincerity has brought novelty in legislative business of the constituency.
“What we have now is a positive and critical departure from what we used to obtain as empowerment schemes. These ICT hubs he is building will be beneficial to our teeming youths who are ever ready to be engaged in the digital sector of the economy”, he said.
