ENGR. ZAYYANU TAMBARI YABO, MNSE
Engr. Zayyanu Tambari Yabo, studied at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering with Second Class (Lower) in Chemical Engineering in 2004.

He has also attended several training courses both in Nigeria and abroad in various aspects of oil and gas industry across the value-chain from Upstream; Midstream to Downstream.

An ardent professional, he is a Fellow, the Institute of Management Consultants-Nigeria and the Institute of Management Specialists-UK.

He is also currently serving as Assistant Secretary General, Nigeria National Committee (NNC), World Petroleum Council (WPC) and Secretary General, Africa LPG Association (ALPGA).

An accomplished Chemical Engineer, Engr. Tambari, a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) by Institute of Management Consultants-Nigeria; a Certified Management Specialist (CMS) by London Graduate School, has close to 15 years’ experience with the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) – the Petroleum Regulatory Agency in Nigeria. Over the years, he has participated in several end-to-end Engineering Projects from Design; Construction/Fabrication; Pre-Commissioning/Commissioning; Start-up to Operations. Notably, he was involved as DPR Project Representative in Meren Gas Gathering and Compression Project (Meren GGCP) that is taking out nearly 100 million standard cubic feet of gas per day from routine oil production flares in Escravos-Offshore and delivering that gas into the domestic market through the Escravos-Lagos Pipelines System (ELPS) since first-gas in 2015. He was part of the technical team that developed the Standards Organization of Nigeria, Nigeria Industry Standards for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Quality Specifications (NIS 555) in 2014 and 2020 respectively. Currently, Engr. Tambari is a Resource Person/Member of the LPG Work Stream of the National Gas Expansion Programme (NGEP), a special intervention initiative of the Federal Government set up early 2020 to deepen and expand the use of gas as a critical catalyst of national growth and development.

Engr. Tambari strongly holds the principles of Professional Ethics and Total Quality Management (TQM). A core member of the NSE who has always upheld the values and ideals of the Society, he has served the NSE under the Division and Branch levels amongst which include: Member, Nigeria Society of Chemical Engineers (NSChE) HSE Group – 2018 – to date; and have sponsored training of young engineers in software capacity building programmes
