Catholic Mission Made Me Who I’m Today – Gov. Sule

LAFIA – Abdullahi Sule, the Governor of Nasarawa State has on Thursday said he has not forgotten what Catholic mission did to him when he was studies in United State of America (USA), on a scholarship.

He also said that Catholic Church made him who is him today.

Sule disclosed this during the ordination ceremony of David Ajang the Catholic Bishop of Lafia,

Acccording to governor ,” When I was in USA to study on scholarship, when the scholarship was not longer coming I choose to live in church in St partrick Parish in USA and part of my job was like an usher any vehicle coming to the church our job was to direct them where they would pack their cars.

” Then out of curoisity I was try to understand what the missionary is all about. During the mass two us who were working together would come and stay at the back.

“I Benefited from Catholic Church, because I finished from Catholic School and also got assistance from Catholic Church during my studies in the United States of America

“If not for Catholic Church, I may not be where and what I am today,” the governor added.

He explained that if Nigerians respect each others religion, the country would be peaceful.

Governor Sule therefore expressed the government’s determination to support and work with the new Bishop and other religion leaders to sustain peace in the state.
