Ahead of the Local Government Elections in Kogi State, a frontline aspirant for the Councilorship position in Odo-Akete/Bolorunduro Ward in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, under the platform of the ruling All Progressive Congress, Folorunsho Ajayi aka Folly has woo stakeholders of the ward to throw their weight behind his aspirations.
He disclosed this in a meeting with the ward Executives of the All Progressive Congress, (APC) in the ward during the Easter celebration.
According to him, his aspirations is gear toward qualitative service delivery to the people, noting that he posses the cognate experiences and expertise to take the ward to another level of development and recognition among commite of wards in not only Kogi State but Nigeria as whole.
He said, his quest to represent the ward at the local level was bore out of his genuine desire to render selfless services to the people.
He promised not to let the party down if given opportunity to fly the flag of the party, stressing that his candidature is a sure belt for the party in the forthcoming Local Government polls.
He urged the people to continue to observe the social distancing rules, promote personal hygiene, to wash and sanitizes their hands regularly to curtail the spread of the deadly coronavirus pandemic, commended Governor Yahaya Bello for keeping the state safe, praying that God will not allow the state to have any case before the pandemic will be rooted out of Nigeria.
Responding on behalf of the other party Executives, the Ward Chairman, Chief Abejirin eulogized the aspirant for his mature way of playing politics, stressing that he remain one of the pillar of the party in the Ward.
He noted that this will be the second time he is having such meeting with the Executives aside other numerous supports, he do rendered anytime he is called upon.
According to him, at appropriate time, the leadership of the party will meet and decide on the way forward, promised to ensure level playing ground for all that finally obtain the party nomination and expression of interest forms.
