Plot 174/175 Kubwa Extension 2, Pipeline, Kubwa, Abuja has embarked on Community Feeding Outreach to support the indigent and the less privileged in the church community during the covid-19 lockdown
Speaking with Pastor Yemi Ayodele, the Area Pastor, he said that the Stay at Home order is really bitting hard in some quarters and may likely not get better in a few weeks from now. According to him, as part of the Christian Social Responsibility of the church in times like this, is to rise and play it’s role of supporting the indigent in the society. The Parish has therefore embarked on the Community Feeding Outreach which started Wednesday 8th April 2020.
According to Pastor Yemi Ayodele the Vissioneer, the Church plans to hold this feeding program minimum twice a week for a start in Kubwa Abuja.
He also confirmed to our source that each of the Feeding program held so far, fed between 180-200 people.
The Covid-19 feeding outreach he said will henceforth hold every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. The next Feeding program holds on Saturday 25th April, 2020 by 8am. This he said was just one of the several initiative of the church as the church had on 8th & 15th April, 2020 distributed foodstuffs to identified indigent and aged members of the church.
- When asked how he’s been ministering to the spiritual needs of the members, Pastor Yemi Ayodele said the church runs a Program called ‘GOD IS HERE’ every Monday and Friday at 9am , he also reached out to the congregation in a Bible message tittled “ESSENSE FOR LIVING’ on the church:s social media platform every other day while on Sunday the church runs live services from 8am with Sunday School Bible study and 1st and 2nd services by 9am &
