Eid el Ftri :2020::Comrade Amari Kogi MHWUN Chairman Felicitates with members .
As Muslims all over the world celebrate Eid el Fitr ,the feast of the breaking of the fast marking the end of the Holy month of Ramadan ,the Kogi State Chairman of the Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria (MHWUN) has felicitated with members for the successful completion of the all important obligation of their faith .
Comrade Amari Gabriel in his congratulatory message to his Muslim faithfuls ,noted that this year’s Rahmadan which was observed while the dreaded COVID 19 is ravaging the world and Nigeria inclusive ,has been particularly challenging as members of the Union are at the front line in the battle against the dreaded pandemic .
According to him ,members have been exemplary ,dedicated and patriotic despite the daunting challenges they come across in their daily assignments and service to humanity and the nation/state
Comrade Amari who enjoined his Muslim members to uphold those mandatory and virtuous obligations that characterised their worship during the Holy month including almsgiving ,prayers ,supplications and sacrifices among others contended that mankind would continue to benefit from such adherence during the month long Rahmadan
While praying that Allah to reward their sacrifices ,he called on members to continue to adhere strictly to stipulated safety regulations as it applies to their job and which include the use of PPES while carrying out their routine work and reminded them of the inherent dangers in their line of duties
The Union leader commended the pragmatic efforts of Governor Yahaya Bello and the State Squadron Committee on COVID 19 on steps taken to ward off the Pandemic from spreading to the State
