The lawmaker representing Igalamela/Odolu Constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. (Barr.) Cosmas Ilemona Atabor has commended the Igalamela/Odolu Special Adviser to the Kogi State Governor on Security, Hon. Omachonu Ignatu Onoja for “his dedication to the safety of lives and properties and overall commitment to the development of the local government.”
Hon. Atabor made the statement during a courtesy visit to the SA in his office at Ajaka.
He also expressed satisfaction with the performance of Onoja since his appointment. Saying: “I am here to officially identify with my brother and friend, Hon. Ignatius Omachonu Onoja, for the first time since his appointment.
“I am highly impresseed by his actions so far. He has been able to demonstrate great leadership qualities since he came on board.
He has collaborated effectively with all government law enforcement agencies that have led to the apprehension and neutralisation of hardened criminal elements in the local government, thereby making life and properties safer.
“His developmental strides have not gone unnoticed. He has made significant progress in expanding rural roads to make a lot of communities more accessible.”
The lawmaker also called on the the people of the local government area to sustain their confidence in Hon. Onoja, adding that “he has all it takes to take this local government to enviably heights.”
Responding, Hon. Onoja appreciated Barr. Atabor for his visit. He described him as “a God ordained distinctive leader, brother and role model.”
He commended Barr. Atabor for his “relentless interest and commitment to peace, security and development of the local government.
“Your dedication to legislation at the Kogi State House of Assembly have not gone unnoticed. Not only have you been regular at house sittings, your dedication to the house oversight functions in addition to your generous humanitarian support to the people of your constituency are worthy of emulation.
“Your nonviolent approach to political activities has made you a role model to many. I am deeply honored and happy to receive you in my office today,” he added.
