Lawmakers are one during sitting and attending to legislative business; Kogi Assembly Chairman On Information, Bode Ogunmola
The chairman Kogi state House committee on information , Hon . Bode Ogunmola says the house remains one and focused on attending to it’s legislative business.
He stated this while Addressing Assembly press corps on the activities of the house so far, in Lokoja.
Hon . Bode Ogunmola who is also the member representing Ogori Magongo state constituency In the house said the eighth assembly had attended to several motions, petitions and bills .
Speaking on the Bill for the Establishment of Kogi State Oil Producing Area Development Commission, the lawmaker said it was an executive bill being considered by the assembly.
He said although the land where the oil well was located was in dispute but was optimistic that Kogi state would win the case, so as to enjoy one hundred percent derivation from the proceeds of oil exploration in the area.
Hon . Ogunmola said work was ongoing at the assembly complex gotted by fire some time ago nothing that hopefully in a couple of weeks work would be completed and plenary sittings returned to the complex.
