Members of Kogi State House of Assembly have commiserated with the entire people of Mopa town and MopaMuro Local Government Area on the transition to glory of their revered royal father, the Elulu of Mopa who doubled as the Chairman , MopaMuro Traditional Council, HRH,Oba Joledo Folorunsho Julius ( JP).
Raising a motion on the need to observe a minute silence on the transition to glory of the first class monarch and paramount ruler, Hon Jacob Sam Olawumi who represents MopaMuro state constituency said the contributions of the late monarch to peace in the local government area could not be overemphasized.
According to him,
late Oba Julius Joledo did all he could to settle the age long dispute between Mopa and Amuro towns, pointing out that their relationship could only be likened to that of Ife and Modakeke war relationship of those days.
Hon Olawumi added that the late monarch also ensured that he settled the differences between the two strong politicians, who are both late ,Chiefs Sunday Awoniyi and Silas Daniyan in the LGA.
Against the above background, Hon Olawumi prayed the Hon Members of the House to stand up and observe a minute silence for the repose of the soul of the late monarch which was obliged him.
The Speaker, RT Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf thereafter prayed for the peaceful repose of the monarch’s soul.
Final burial arrangement for the late monarch is to hold on November 30th, 2023.
