*75 BENEFICIARIES OF CLOTH WEAVERS ASSOCIATION OF UPOGORO COMMUNITY WERE GIVEN GRANT.*

The ancient community of great women of valor and substance who hold on to their means of livelihood were giving recognition and grant today by through Small & medium enterprises development agency of Nigeria as part of her 2020 National Assembly Empowerment Grant Programme In Okene/Ogori Magongo Federal Constituency under the leadership of *Hon. YUSUF AHMED TIJANI* (House of Representative Member,Representing Okene/Ogori Magongo Federal Constituency).

Upogoro community among the ancient community in the then Okengwe province has always be known to be a great hardworking people and their women are known to participate in cloth weaving for decades. Love,peace,harmony and good accommodation has been their traits among many others.

I must appreciate you all for the courage and trust you all reposed on me throughout my service to our Constituency,indeed I have heard about you all as a peaceful community and the only way to contribute my quotal to such a great people of ancient community is through series of empowerment and one of it is this SMEDAN especially in the area of businesses and weaving/clothing is not left out that our forefathers were known and other related field of skills. And let this be use to lift your means of livelihood for more productive area and not waste. Specifically this Smedan empowerment is for Upogoro community alone.

Thanks you all for receiving me this morning and I look forward to materialize this opportunity for more technological advancement simply because of your industrialization and I have seen your industrious activities within and outside the state.

The community executives,APC ward chairman, ward councillor (Hon. Sunday Onuchi) and other party stakeholders and member were all present and speak in one voice while appreciating Hon. Tijani Damisa (Asuehi) for this recognition and they look forward as time goes on for more opportunities should be profer to the community.
