ACTING RECTOR BAGS LEADERSHIP, MANAGERIAL COMPETENCE AWARDS FROM ARISE IGLALA MAGAZINE, BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT, KSU.
In further recognition of his sterling leadership records and exemplary commitment to human resource management, awards have continued to pour in for the Acting Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Dr Salisu Ogbo Usman.
The latest of such awards were conferred by the Arise Igala Magazine, (Saturday, November, 28) and the Department of Business Administration, Kogi State University, Anyigba (Thursday, November 26).
The Arise Igala award which was tagged “Leadership Award” was conferred at the 2020 edition of the Magazine’s annual leadership award ceremony held at Sheraton Hotel, Abuja.
In the same vein, the award by the Department of Business Administration, Kogi State University, conferred during the Launching of 100 Million Skills Acquisition Centre and Books of Reading by the Department, was an exceptional recognition of the Acting Rector’s Excellence in Managerial Competence and Entrepreneurial Creativity and Innovation.
The latest awards from the two notable bodies add to the avalanche of honours accorded Dr S.O. Usman since assumption of duty as Acting Rector of the institution.
Amongst the honours were the Award of Outstanding Performance by the National Association of Business Administration and Management Students( NABAMS), Kogi State Polytechnic Chapter, Friend of Ebira Students Award by the National Association of Ebira Students, Letter of Commendation by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), and the Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation, to mention a few.
The Acting Rector had in response to the recognitions, appreciated the bodies/groups for acknowledging his modest efforts, and assured them of better commitment to the services that attracted such recognitions.
The Acting Rector dedicates the awards to His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, for finding him worthy to be appointed and for the relentless support he had enjoyed from him even before his present appointment.
