August 18, Prince Sola Akanmode, Sen. Smart Adeyemi: The Day of Two Enigmas
August 18 is indeed, iconic. On this day, two enigmatic Kogites who went ahead to make a name for the State were born.
Prince Olushola Akanmode is a first class brain, a technocrat, bureaucrat; a man whose talents made several ways for him, one of the most brilliant Okun of his generation.
For decades, Prince Akanmode was central to the development of Okun and Kogi State; taking the central position in project planning and implementation as well as influencing projects to the State.
A former Permanent Secretary in the old Kwara, a former Secretary to the Government of Kogi State; a former Deputy Chief of Staff to the President; Prince Olusola Akanmode is a classical example of how brilliant Kogites are.
Cool, brilliant, intelligent, gentle, firm, patriotic; Prince Akanmode is a living legend that must be celebrated in his lifetime. He is now a big farmer, giving food and jobs to our people. Giving our generation direction. He showed how one could be powerful and still be humble.
To the Prince of Hearts, may you live long sir and continue to be our shinning example. Happy 70th birthday sir.
Also today, our Senator and leader, Sen. Smart Adeyemi turns 58. From excellence in the media where he rose to become the National President of the NUJ, Sen. Adeyemi entered the political field triumphantly. He came in, believing in his antecedents and qualities to win. He won. And has won three times to represent the good people of Kogi West in the Senate.
Your laudable projects and empowerment will be remembered for a long time. And we know you will continue to do more for our people. We can point to you as OUR SENATOR. You are fearless, humane, development-oriented. We celebrate you sir as you mark your 58 birthday.
May God give you long life and continue to prosper you. Amen.
