
Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has approved the appointment of AIT reporter, Berikisu Avoyi Nwogu, as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Electronic Media.
According to a Press statement signed by the Secretary to the Governmentof Kogi State, Dr Mrs Ayoade Folashade Arike, the appointment was based on merit stressing that it was also a call to service.
The statement urged the newly appointed SSA to bring her wealth of experience and qualities which singled her out for this appointment to bear on her new assignment, thereby justifying the confidence reposed in her.
Governor Bello also confirmed the appointment of Hon. Dare Arogundade as Senior Special Assistant (SSA, Security) for Yagba East Local Government Area of the State.
According to the statement, Arogundade replaces Hon. Sule Abdulwakil Olorunjuwon who has been redeployed as SSA to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
Until his appointment, Arogundade was the Supervisor of Works and Education for Yagba East.
The statement added that the governor also approved the appointment of Hon. Pius Gbemisola Kolawole as the SSA, Security, for Yagba West Local Government Area.
Kolawole replaces Oshaloto Joseph Tade who has been reassigned as SSA to the governor on Grassroots Mobilization, Yagba Federal Constituency.
Similarly, the statement disclosed that Governor Bello also confirmed the appointment of Alhaji Samari Teina Abdulmalik as the new Chairman of the State Security Trust Fund. He replaces Alhaji Siyaka Oyibo who died in July, this year.
The statement which stated that the exercise was intended to strengthen the workings of the present administration towards enhanced productivity, said all the appointments were with immediate effect.
