The Member representing Ijumu State Constituency in Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon Mrs Ishaya Omotayo Adeleye has called on Christians to exhibit prayerful and peaceful dispositions during the celebration of this year Christmas, saying the two are parts of Christian tenets.
Hon Ishaya Omotayo Adeleye who congratulated her constituents in Ijumu, people of Kogi West, Kogites and Nigerians on celebrating this year Christmas in good health and peace , made this known in a statement she personally signed and made available to our Correspondent in Lokoja.
According to the lawmaker,
Jesus Christ exhibited peaceful nature and was prayerful during His times on earth..
She said the efficacy of prayer in ones life and in a country cannot be overemphasized, stressing that nothing could be achieved in a chaotic situation.
The female lawmaker who used the medium to congratulate the first female Deputy Speaker, Rt Hon Comfort Nwochiola on her emergence in a rancour free situation, prayed for her success throughout her tenure.
She urged the womenfolks to remain peaceful at all times with their husbands.
Ishaya said even in the face of this present economic hardship, our culture recommends peaceful approach and prayer to making the situation better.
She assured that with women’s continued support for All Progressives Congress led administrations in the state and in Nigeria as a whole, it would ginger government to making life better for them .
