Kogi State Ministry of Water Resources in Collaboration with Clean Nigeria Campaign officially Flag off National Youth Volunteer Program on hand washing and Clean Nigeria at the State Secretariat conference hall Lokoja.

Adamu FNSE, FAEng Ably represented by the director of water quality control and sanitation Federal Ministry of Water Resources Dr. Emmanuel Aweh Appreciate and welcome everyone to the auspicious occasion of the flag off of the Clean Nigeria campaign in Kogi State.
The Hon. Minister through Dr. Aweh emphasized that today’s launch of the Clean Nigeria Campaign is therefore timely and heart-warming as we need this demonstration to the political commitment required to commence and accelerate the state potentials and in furtherance of the Clean Nigeria, Use the toilet.
The action to end open defecation in Nigeria will require the contribution and commitment of everyone, government at all levels, civil society, private sector, development partners and the entire populace.
It is Worthy of Note that Kogi State has joined other States to launch the Clean Nigeria campaign and to launch this Youth Volunteer Program which is expected to boost the state and National Campaign against open defecation and we therefore look forward to the State delivering local government areas as open defecation Free.
Kogi State Commissioner for Water Resources Hon. (Dr.) Abdulmumin Danga in his address welcome all the dignitaries to the epoch-making event of the flag off Exercise of National Youth volunteer Program on hand washing and clean Nigeria campaign.
Hon. Danga appreciate the Federal Government for this collaborative program adequately designed for the youth volunteer on hand washing campaign and war against open defecation
It is very obvious that open defecation has caused alot of havoc and sickness to our wellbeing which includes cholera, typhoid and other ailments which I cannot mention.
The National Youth volunteer program will involve the engagement of (100) youths in each of the (774) local government in the country for the period of 3months to carry out prompt awareness, enlightenment, education and sensitization activities on WASH ( Water Sanitation and Hygiene) Program.
Hon. Danga further informed the esteem participants and all other guest that a Non Governmental Organization known as Community Based Initiative for Growth and Sustainability will be Coordinating and facilitating the program in the Middle belt part of the Country which Kogi State is not exceptional.
He once again appreciate the Federal Ministry of Water Resources for this collaborative program and he assured them on behalf of Kogi State government under the distinguished leadership of our Visionary, Charismatic, Egalitarian and Pragmatic Leadership of His Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello Executive Governor, Kogi State, that we’ll continue to campaign against open defecation, partner and Collaborate with you on this type of live Changing Exercise,
and he Charged the Selected Youth Across Kogi State to imbibe the ethics of the Clean Nigeria campaign project and together we shall keep Kogi State and Nigeria clean.
