

‘Gov Bello has recalibrated Kogi for business, collaborations’ – Engr Gegu tells investors

Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr Abubakar Bashir Muhammad Gegu has assured would-be and existing investors in Kogi State that Governor Yahaya Bello has opened the state for collaborations that would boost the state’s economy.
He made this assertion on Thursday in an address during agreement signings with investors that were in the state for collaborations in areas of housing development, agriculture, solid minerals and biotechnological sectors.
The Commissioner said Kogi State has created the enabling environment through the progressive policies of Govenror Bello who he said has enhanced the investment climate through provision of infrastructure especially in the security subsector.
Engr Gegu, who stated that the crack economic team set-up by the administration was working assiduously to ensure they attarct quality investment to the state, said monies invested into Kogi are safe because every part is safe from any form of insecurity.
He assured the investors that the economic climate is perfect for them to have healthy returns on their investments, noting that the state is always open for business and that many more are lining up to come to Kogi to sink their resources.
The Commissioner who highlighted the importance of flexibility of doing business said it is because of the preparedness of government to recalibrate the business atmosphere for positive economic turnaround, noting that the state has a standard it has set for anyone that wants to partner the government.
He said his Ministry is ready as are other ministries to see that resources in all sectors are utilised for the good of the state through collaborative efforts.
