

Gov. Bello, Ihedioha, Others attends Book Launch
Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello represented by the Deputy Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed today at Asaba Delta State attends launching of a book on pilgrimage, authored by a renowned journalist and Special Assistant, Media to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, Comrade Fidelis Egugbo at Delta State.
The book Titled: “The Experience,” is about religious pilgrimage captured through the journalistic eyes of Egugbo Fidelis.
The Kogi Governor’s representative described the author as a detribalized Nigerian who had contributed in no small measure to the development of human capacity and promotion of religious cultures. Rt. Hon. Ahmed said Gov. Bello a devout Muslim, holds the ideal of the freedom of religion. To him, religion is a personal relationship between man and God that deals with fairness, equality, tolerance and forgiveness.
His words in part; “The peace enjoyed in Kogi and the unity that has come to define the state today and beyond were woven around the Governor’s sense of fairness. Fairness has been his watchword. His all inclusiveness and ensuring there is justice in the state made the highest Christian body – CAN in Kogi describes him as “Friend of the church”.
The chairman of the occasion, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, former Governor of Imo State, Governor Okowa of Delta State and Other eminent Nigerians at the event describes the author as a result-oriented administrator who has the fear of God, called for a more united and peaceful region devoid of hate and rancour
