According to him “My attention was drawn to this unfortunate situation last week when I invited Ohaja sub station in Dekina to cover the burial ceremony of our late Onu Ane and the Gago of Okura Ofante in Dekina local government and to my utmost dismay I was told that the sub station was not in good condition.
“Infact , no wonder there was no sensitization of the going revalidation and registration of APC exercise in the rural communities.
“I am using this medium to appeal to volunteers in Kogi East especially the nine local government Chairmen to kindly beam their search light on the radio stations in their vicinity for immediate repair for easy and quick dissemination of the activities in the local government”.
While calling on the federal Representatives, senators House of Representatives from Kogi East to volunteer their funds to make the radio stations work, Hon. Itodo, said that the advantages of radio in our socio economic and political development can not be over empathized.
“Members of the State House of Assembly are not left out in this exercise. Volunteerism is adding value to governance in the areas you discover government is lagging behind in any sector of the economy and it is as old as creation.
“The earlier the this repair is carried out the better for us in view of the enormity of radio in the areas of informing, entertaining and advertising to communities” he stated.
