Hon. Ndako Idris is a legislator currently representing Lokoja 11 Constituency and an All Progressives Congress (APC) ranking member of the Kogi State House of Assembly. He is presently the deputy majority leader of the House. During his 2015 campaign tours of his constituency Hon. Ndako Idris promised to provide effective representation for the people, create avenue to empower the youths, women sand artisans, encourage entrepreneurship, develop basic social amenities in Lokoja 11 state constituency. Furthermore, he promised to provide employment for graduates, create welfare facilities for the elderly persons and the widows.

He has the willingness to enhance the productivity level of the youths by providing working implements that will enable them to fend for themselves in their chosen vocational trades.
Hon. Ndako Idris as a member of Kogi State House of Assembly fought for the welfare of his people and the state at large. He remains the symbol of the people, highly dynamic, a worthy politician to behold, an astute leader, and a role model. Speaking as a legislator Hon. Idris said he has tried in his little capacity and based on the availability of fund to bring developmental projects to his constituency, that is Lokoja 11, since he was elected in 2015. Provision of skills acquisition is one of the areas he felt the people could benefit from.
Similarly too, he facilitated the appointment of many of his constituents to secure jobs within and outside the state. He also provides financial aids such as scholarship to indigent students in secondary schools as well as to students studying professional courses. He has in the past released fund to rehabilitate electricity transformers, opening of pathways, construction of drainages and several other projects have been carried out by him in the last five years in his constituency. More importantly, he has sponsored bills and motions on the floor of the Kogi State House of Assembly that have much impact on the people of his constituency and the state in general. The lists of his projects are: Market men and women empowerment, yearly payment of some students’ school fees, graded Jakura road in Lokoja II, rural electrification for rural dwellers, payment of WAEC, NECO and JAMB for Lokoja/Kogi students, stepped down of electricity from Banda to Murtala Bridge, distributed farming inputs to farmers across Lokoja/Kogi LGAs, distributed sewing machines across his constituency, agricultural empowerment for both Lokoja/Kogi, gave 20,000 Naira to each of the Felele fire victims, distributed motorcycles to some youths across Lokoja, graded Irimi road in Oworo ward in order for it to be motorable for marketers and other road users, provided dual desks to Felele Primary School, provided bursary allowances to students, built classrooms in Felele, women and youth empowerment, built clinic and police post at Kakanda ward, donated 2.5Million Naira to Kakanda ward for projects, donated 500 thousand Naira to Owara community in Oworo land for water project, distributed rappers to women of Lokoja II, donated 500 thousand naira to Obajana community. He is known for the distribution of rams, rice and other food items during festive periods. (i.e. Fasting, Sallah and Christmas) and securing jobs for his constituents and among others.
