
Hon Okadigbo Commend Gov. Bello for Establishing Varsity in Adavi
A member representing Adavi local government at the Kogi State House of Assembly Hon Ibrahim Usman alias Okadigbo has commended Governor Yahaya Bello for his courage and dexterity in establishing Confluence University of Science and Technology Osara in Ebiraland and Adavi State constituency.
Hon. Usman who gave the commendation while interacting with newsmen in Lokoja on Friday , said the effort would turn around the educational sector of the State for good aside the numerous jobs the citadel of learning would create for the people of Adavi local government and indeed the entire State.
According to him, the establishment of the university will no doubt place Kogi State on a threshold of becoming the technological hub of the country in no distant time.
“In fact my joy over this new university in Ebiraland knows no bound. On behalf of the good people of Adavi whom i am representing at the State House of Assembly, I expressed my deep appreciation to His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello for the courageous steps taken so far towards the establishment of the institution.
“Apparently, Kogi State would be better for it because science and technology remains the bedrock of the world economy and by the time Ajaokuta steel company and Itakpe Iron Ore company picks up , the institution stand a better chance to supply qualified manpower to the industries”
He assured the Governor and Kogi State Government of the support of the people of Adavi local government in nurturing the university to be the best in the country within the shortest time.
The lawmaker however called on Ebira people to give unflinching support to the Governor to enable him deliver the desired dividend of democracy to the people of the state.
“The Governor meant well for the people of Kogi State, what we needed to do now is to cooperate with his government so that he can do more for us” he said.
