Hon. Samari Teina Abdulmalik
“Transforming Kogi State Security Trust Fund”.
Hon. Samari who assumed office barely less than a year ago in the office as the Chairman Security Trust Fund, has shown commitment, resilience and dexterity in performing his duties regards the security of the State.
He has shown competence and capacity, when the Nigeria National Volunteer Service/Diaspora Affairs beamed her searchlight in the quest to know what he is doing as the office saddled with the security of the State, we were amazed after the interview, from records available to us, The Chairman proved his competence by identifying what he want to achieve in the Security Trust Fund and what the organization stands for by identifying his vision and mission of the establishment by what the logo stands for as his first assignment, to him, the logo of the establishment is a pointer to what the vision intends to achieve, as a visitor to the office, the logo of the Trust Fund speaks volumes even before your interaction with the Chairman.
As a man who knows what to do, his call to the office of the security agencies to abreast himself with the security challenges and to seek areas of collaboration is wisdom gotten from his exposure and experience to enable him transform Kogi State Trust Fund, the humility exemplified in this direction shows the character of the Chairman.
Another bold move was to visit financial institutions and stakeholders to seek areas of assistance as partners for smooth running of the organization because to have an effective and proactive security outfit it involves funds; this is already yielding results, no wonder Kogi people and the organizations within are operating under the atmosphere of tranquility without fear.
After setting up a proper foundation, in line with strict adherence to the act that set up the Trust Fund, he went ahead to empower agencies to carry out their duties without hindrance by immediately buying patrol vehicles and motorcycles that were distributed to local vigilantes to tackle criminals around the State especially in our local government areas, local hunters were not left as they form the grassroot vigilantes.
The Chairman did not stop there, for an effective security, base he introduced a central logistics base where information can easily be disseminated, all logistics to make it functional and active were provided, it is worthy of note that the 21 local governments at the moment has a construction base with security gadgets for proper monitoring.
NNVS after our investigation and physical interactions with the Chairman and some members of staff were satisfied of the achievement of Chairman, Hon. Samari Tiena Abdulmalik in a short while in the office.
Above all, the work environment of workers welfare within the department is uncommon with the innovations brought on board that has attracted better and enhanced performance.
Nigeria National Volunteer Service/Diaspora Affairs has no iota of doubt that Hon. Samari Teina is on his way to greatness and will leave a legacy that will be difficult for the next chairman to match.
The NNVS therefore passed a vote of confidence and certificate of credence on him and his team working together for a better security watch in Kogi State.
