IDATOCHI COMMUNITY ASSURES SCHOOL HEADS OF SUPPORT. The leaders of Idatichi-Idanupopuvete community Development Association have assured school heads of their support, cooperation and understanding for the progress and development of education in the area. This was one of the outcome of the meeting held at Idatochi between the community, schools heads and Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) of the three schools in the community. The community Chairman, Mr. Ezekiel M. Salami commended the school heads and urged the community and PTA chairmen to work as a team to develop the schools. He called on PTA chairmen of LGEA community school Idatochi, LGEA school Inorere and UBE/JSS Idatochi to pay periodic visits to the schools to interact with the headmasters, pupils and students on the progress of the schools. Mr. Ezekiel M. Salami said the community will work out strategy to check the security challenges facing the schools especially the possibility of securing the services of vigilante officers to man the area after schools close for the day. He maintained that appropriate authority will be contacted to look into the possible way of replacing the deceased security guard in one of the schools. The community Chairman stated that the Principal of UBE/JSS Idatochi, Mall. Muhammed Onukaba should be invited to interface with the community on the education progress of the students with ways to assist him. The community then appreciated government at all levels Federal, State and Local for the renovation and building of a new block of classrooms for Inorere and Idatochi communities respectively. Earlier, the Headmaster of LGEA Community School Idatochi, Mall Sadiku Ozovehe narrated the progress and challenge facing the three schools in the area and called for collaborative effort to develop education of the pupils and students. He commended the community leaders for their proactive effort anytime there was need in the schools for the peace and academic progress of the pupils and students. Mall. Sadiku Ozovehe appealed to the community to assist in protecting schools properties from being stolen and destruction by unambitious hoodlums. In a remark, the Headmistress of LGEA school Inorere, Mrs. Kekere Habibat appreciated the community for the meeting and stated that she reported the renovation of a block of classrooms by Kogi SUBEB to Adavi Education Authority. The PTA chairmen of LGEA school Inorere. Mall. Salihu Obenege, LGEA Community school Idatochi, Mall. Sumaila Sanni and that of UBE/JSS Mr. Itopa E. Okaraga acknowledged the schools heads effort to provide quality teaching and learning to develop the pupils and students as future leaders. They assured the community that they will continue to give the best in the services to their fatherland and called for all hands to be on deck to safeguard the schools building from vandalization. The Idatochi Community and schools Heads meeting was attended by Idatochi -Idanupopuvete community leaders among whom were Alhaji Ibrahim Alabi- community elder, Mall.
