INSECURITY : Kogi Speaker Assures of Enacting Law to Empower Local Security Operatives

Following the recent armed attacks in kabba/bunu local government area, Speaker Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Mathew Kolawole says the house will enact a law to empower local security men in the state to secure their communities.
The speaker disclosed this at today’s plenary sitting at the assembly complex in lokoja.
He said that the need to empower the local security men, arises from the inability of the councils to manage security challenges in their areas.
The speaker maintained that the assembly would make the law to ensure the local security men were adequately renumerated as well as empowered to ask questions when strangers are housed in their communities.
