Kogi Assembly Approves Over One Billion Naira Loan for Gov Bello to Fund UBEC Projects.

Kogi State House of Assembly has approved over one billion naira loan for the state government to access from a commercial bank to fund Universal Basic Education Projects in the state

This followed the house resolution on a correspondence sent to the house by Governor Yahaya Bello seeking the lawmakers approval to borrow a term loan to pay the state counterpart funds for UBEC projects in the state.

The repayment of the said money would be on monthly basis and Frontline charge from the federal allocation to the state.

In the meantime, a private member bill seeking to amend the Kogi State sharia court law 2015 to establish feeder courts sponsored by the member representing igalamela odolu State Constituency, Cosmas Atabo has passed first reading.
Similarly, the Kogi State House of Assembly has finally confirmed Kingsley Fanwo as a Commissioner designate.

His confirmation followed his reappearance at plenary having been turndown last week as there was no concurrence by lawmakers.

Mr Kingsley Fanwo was asked to take a bow and go as a motion was moved by the member representing MopaAmuro state constituency Ademola Bello and seconded by The member representing yagba East jimoh Musa and Aderoke Aro of Yagba West

The speaker prince Mathew Kolawole in a remark called for unity among the lawmakers, politicians and their followers.

He urged politicians not to act on rumors stressing that Kingsley Fanwo is a leader who should work for the progress of the state.
