Kogi Guber Aspirant Distributes Free JAMB Forms to Prospective Candidates
A Frontline Aspirant ahead of the Kogi State 2023 Governorship Election, Hon. Dayo Akanmode, has flagged-off the distribution of free Unified and Tertiary Matriculation Examination of the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board, JAMB, forms to prospective candidates from Gbede District, Ijumu LGA.
Speaking at the ceremony held at his Country Home, Aiyetoro Gbede weekend, Hon. Akanmode promised to reward the best performing candidates in the JAMB examination, to further encourage them to put in their best in the examination.
The Aspirant maintained that the gesture was part of his “Education Support Programme” to support parents and students, saying he was compelled to embark on the project because there are many brilliant students from poor homes who may wish to go to further their education beyond secondary school, but with parents who cannot afford the fees.
“There are also orphans who have lost their parents without having anyone to cater for them educationally,” he said.
The Governorship Aspirant charged the union to ensure that the forms get to those that cannot afford payment for the registration.
The National President,National Association of Gbede Student (NAGS), Comr Sikiru Olamide and his executives who were in attendance to receive the jamb form, express their sincere and profound gratitude for his past support and contribution towards the upliftment of the Gbede student union and the entire development of Gbede land.
The Parents and Guidance of the beneficiaries, who spoke with the news men, were full of appreciation to the politician, describing him as a true representative of the masses.and shower him with prayers.
