KOGI SSG MOURNS THE DEATH OF NIGERIA`S FIRST FEMALE COMBAT PILOT
The Secretary to the Government of Kogi State (SSG) has described the sudden death of a rare gem, Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile, first female helicopter combat pilot in Nigeria as devastating, painful and a great loss to the nation.
Dr. Folashade Ayoade disclosed this in a Statement in Lokoja on Wednesday.
The SSG said Flying Officer Arotile was an upcoming star in the Nigerian Air force who had demonstrated great courage, uncommon skill and patriotism in the discharge of her assignments.
According to Dr. Ayoade , “late Arotile short sojourn in the Air Force and on earth will be greatly missed at a time the country is battling with grave insecurity situation”.
She said the deceased contributions in the onslaught against criminal elements and armed bandits in the North Central States “by flying several combat missions under operation GAMA AIKI in Minna, Niger State” will be cherished by all lovers of peace.
The SSG commiserated with the family of late Arotile, the Nigerian Air force, Ijumu Local Government Area, the good people of Kogi State and the country at large over the death of a star pilot.
She prayed that God grants late Arotile eternal rest and those she had left behind the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
