Lokoja/Kotto APC Stakeholders Decried Rumored Endorsements Of Aspirants By Governor Bello Calls for Restrain.
Leaders and Stakeholders of the ruling All Progressives Congress from Lokoja / Kotto federal Constituency in kogi State has raised concerns over the rumors making round that the Governor of the state Alhaji Yahaya Bello has endorsed some of the party’s aspirants in the federal constituency within the last two weeks.
Rising from an emergency meeting in lokoja on Saturday 23rd December 2022, the party leaders lamented that the rumored endorsement as uncharitable and undemocratic acts which would spell doomed and negatively affects the fortune of the party in the forthcoming elections.
They said they were absolutely taking aback by the said endorsement in which the governor was earlier rumored to have endorsed Barrister Tanko Mohammed Osuku as the party candidate for the House of Representatives in the federal constituency Only to suddenly turn around and endorsed one Suleiman Aguye for the same position.
The stakeholders said that they are pained by such a rumors.
They said is portraying the governor to be inconsistent and undemocratic in his approach to the selection of candidates against the will of the people and indeed the party members
They called on the governor to take measures to doused the rumors and exercise utmost restrain by allowing the will and wishes of the party members to prevail by giving a level playing ground for all the aspirants to test their popularity and exercise their franchise.
APC stakeholders and the electorate in the state are not happy over this ugly development and this may stop APC winning the 2023 general elections in the state.
