MATTER OF URGENT PUBLIC IMPORTANCE BOTHERING ON HIGH LEVEL OF KIDNAPPING ALONG AGEVA AND MAGOGO ROAD
The Rt. Hon. Speaker sir, Distinguished Honourable colleagues, you would recalled on the 5th of August, 2021 at the plenary of this august House resolution was reached “That the Federal Road Maintenance Agency should as a matter of urgency be urged to rehabilitate bad portions in Okene main town-ogaminana-Nagazi-Itape Iron ore Mining Company junction to ease traffic movement” following a motion calling on FERMA to rehabilitate same. This motion was seconded by my humble self with additional prayer that the rehabilitation be extended to Ageva-Magongo road.
Concerned, therefore, that the bad spots between Ageva and Magongo that necessitated the amendment are not only unmotorable due to the dilapidated nature of the road but it has became hot-spots for hoodlums to carry out their nefarious acts on a daily basis, sadly, Chief Oshadumo who was kidnapped a fortnight ago at Kabba Church Service was murdered at this bad spots during the exchange of gunfire between security operatives and the hoodlums.
Presently, Mr. Speaker, passing through this aforementioned road, you need prayer for mercy of God. Arising from the foregoing, I consider it necessary and expedient for this August House through her Constitutional power to intervene with a view to bringing the ugly situation under control.

I crave the indulgence of the House to resolve as follows
That the Nigeria police should build up more security on these bad spots to save lives and properties of the road users.
That without further delay, Federal Road Maintenance Agency be urged to rehabilitate bad portions between Ageva and Magongo
