NEW MDA EXCO PAYS A COURTESY VISIT TO THE EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OF OGORIMAGONGO LGA.
The newly elected members of the Executive Council of the Magongo Development Association has paid courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of OgoriMagongo LGA.
The EXCO members were elected at the last National Delegate conference of the association which took place on the 27th March, 2021.
The National President, Mr. Jordan Akpata, represented by the Vice President, Mr James O. Boyi appreciated the Chairman for granting them audience in spite of his tight schedule.
He further thanked him for previous support and cooperation given the community when he was yet the Local Government Administrator, and solicited for more of such.
Mr Akpata decried the incessant spate of insecurity being faced on our roads, such as kidnapping and armed robbery.
While thanking him for previous efforts made by the chairman in salvaging the situation, he encouraged him to intensify such so that in no distant time, our roads will be rid of menaces.
On the Magongo Owiya festival coming up on 1st May, 2021, the President solicited for the usual support enjoyed from the LG.
Finally, he thanked the Chairman for his concern at bridging the gap between the two communities of Ogori and Magongo, stating that the two communities are twins and as such those breeding dichotomy and segregation should not be allowed any more.
Mr Akpata promised to continue to give unalloyed support to the chairman and his administration.
In his response, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Goke Oparison thanked the MDA officials for their visit and reiterated his support for the MDA and Magongo community at large, and assured them that he and his team will do everything humanly possible to stamp out criminality on our roads.
He equally promised to continue to give the required support to the MDA in its plan to execute the Owiya festival and indeed, other areas of need. He acknowledged the fact that both communities of Ogori and Magongo and twins in reality and would do everything to encourage their unity.
