Nigerian youths have been charged to always endeavour to contribute their quota towards the development and progress of the nation.
Pastor Yemi Olaoye, who gave the charge on Sunday in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital, in a sermon delivered at the grand finale of the Youth Fellowship Week of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Ilorin District Headquarters, stressed the need for the youths to rise up to the challenges of moving the Nation to greater heights.
Pastor Olaoye, who commended the youths of the Church for allowing themselves to be useful vessels in the hand of God to positively touch the lives of the downtrodden in the society, urged other youths to take a cue from this noble gesture of the C&S youths, adding God loves a cheerful giver. .
Earlier, the Youth Fellowship of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Ilorin District Headquarters had promised to continue to make its impacts felt by giving back to the society.
The President of the Youth Fellowship, Pastor David Adebayo Awodola, who stated this at the 2022 Community Outreach programme organised by the Fellowship at Ilupeju Community, Sabo Oke, Ilorin, said members of the Fellowship and the Church had committed their resources and energy to making life better for the people, especially the downtrodden.
The President, who explained that the Fellowship had during the week organised a three-day open crusade to win souls for Christ, noted that medical tests had been comdicted, while drugs were also given to over 500 people that attended the outreach, aside from raw food items also distributed to some residents of the area.
Pastor Awodola urged wealthy individuals and Corporate bodies to make their impact more felt by striving to improve the lots of members of their immediate Community.
In his response, the Vice Chairman, Ilupeju Community, Sabo Oke Ilorin, Khalifa Nurudeen Bolatan applauded the contribution of the Fellowship to the cleanliness of the Community, and also for the medical treatment and distribution of food stuffs to some residents in the area.
Khalifa Bolatan called on other youths, well meaning individuals and corporate bodies to emulate the noble deed of the youths of C&S, while urging the Kwara state government to provide ‘Roro’ bins for the Community for easier disposal of refuse.
In her remarks, the Community Women Leader, Mrs Grace Ibironke also praised the Fellowship for giving back to the Community, saying that the provisions would go a long way in alleviating the suffering of their people.
The anniversary is themed “Supernatural manifestation”.
