
NYSC Editorial Community Development Service visits Kogi State House of Assembly Speaker

Lately Today, the speaker of kogi state house of Assembly Rt Hon. Prince Mathew Kolawole hosted the Editorial Community Development Service in his Assembly complex office, Lokoja. The editorial CDS group said they are in the assembly to seek for his support toward the forthcoming inter school Impromptu and Spelling Bee competition slated for a yet to be disclosed date in September, 2021.
In his welcome address, Rt. Hon. Kolawole appreciated the corp members for accepting to serve in Kogi State and for being a good ambassadors of their respective home states. Going down memory lane recalling while he was on NYSC service in 1997 whose commitment and dedication to service for father land made him the Editorial President of his group during his service year.. He advised the corp members to shown all forms of social vices noting that, it is capable of ruining their hard earned educational carrier. He urged them to take full advantage of the service year to learn skills that would help them to be self-reliant after the service year. While expressing his interest in giving the youths unwavering succour, Rt Hon. Mathew Kolawole promised to support the group in every area deemed necessary.
The group leader, Corper Abbas Yahaya expressed appreciation over the warm reception by the Rt Hon Speaker who he described as a rare breed of leader in the political sphere of Kabba-Bunu and Kogi State in general. He noted that their choice of visit was premised on the kind gesture of the Rt Hon Speaker towards youths.
