NYSC Kogi State Coordinator Inaugurates Camp Court, Covid-19 Ambassadors.

The State Coordinator National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Kogi State, Pst. Mrs Mofoluwaso William, on Sunday inaugurated the camp Court, the COVID-19 Ambassadors for the 2021 Batch ‘C’ Stream 1 Orientation Course.

Mrs Williams spearheaded the launch of the groups during her welcome address to the Prospective Corps Members at the pitch of NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Asaya, Kogi State.

The Camp Court comprises the Camp Director, Camp Commandant, the Resident Officer, Heads of the Camp Police and Man O’ War.

While the COVID-19 Ambassadors comprises two Prospective Corps members from each of the 10 platoons, the COVID-19 Enforcement Team is made up of NYSC selected key Camp Officials

While Inaugurating the Corps members the anchor person who is a medical Doctor from Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja noted that the sash-decorated COVID-19 Ambassadors would serve to ensure that corps members wear their facemasks at all times during camp activities.

The Ambassadors is also to ensure that water basins around the camp are filled with water and monitored to ensure they are not used for washing of clothes or any other use except the reason for which they are strategically placed which is regular hand washing.

On the other hand, the Enforcement Team would ensure that COVID-19 protocols are followed religiously throughout the duration of the camp.

Corps members who disobey instructions from the Ambassadors are to be brought before the Camp Court for discipline, the State Coordinator said during the launch.
