The payment of these fees is in view of the passage of the Kogi State Signage Agency Establishment Law by the Kogi State House of Assembly in Lokoja.
The house in considering the bill clause by clause of the bill at plenary said the bill sought to regulate outdoor display of signage and advertisement in the state.
It would also curb the indiscriminate pasting of posters on side walks, walls, bridges and public buildings which defaces the state.
The bill seeks the establishment of a signage agency to carryout such regulatory responsibilities as permits would be issued before anyone or organisation can paste posters or erect billboard at designated place
