The residence of the former Governor of Kogi State Alhaji Yahaya Bello in the ancient city of Okene, was a beehive of activities on Sunday, January 28th 2024, as some dignitaries paid him a courtesy visit, a day after he left the exalted seat of Kogi state government.
The deputy Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, RT Hon Comfort Nwuchiola Egwaba alongside the governor, Usman Ahmed Ododo accompanied by good spirited kogites were present at the former Governor’s residence.
During the visit, the dignitaries went to the tomb of the former Governor’s mother, Hajiya Hauwa Oziohu to pay her homage and offer prayers for her continued repose of soul.
The former Governor, Yahaya Bello further reaffirmed his belief in Governor Ododo, to take Kogi State to a higher dimension. Bello thanked them for the visit and prayed for the success of Ododo’s led admninstration.
Rt Honourable Comfort Nwuchiola Egwaba also extolled the amazing qualities of late Hajiya Oziohu and described her as a doyen of greatness that birthed amazing personalities, among who is the immediate past governor of Kogi State.
