Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu has admonished the All Progressives Congress, Kogi State and the entire good people of the state to join in supporting his aspiration to govern the state after the expiration of the present administration of Governor Yahaya Bello.
Shuaibu made the remarks while addressing the press and APC supporters from across the state at the party national secretariat ,Abuja .
He stated that his aspiration is to enable him consolidate on the gains of democracy as the people of the state are yearning for good, focused and purposeful leadership that will strive for the overall development of the state.
He emphasized that leadership is a responsibility and trust and people should not take the opportunity for granted as the expectations of the people are high.
According to him, he is contesting to tap into the untapped natural resources that the state is blessed with and he queried the inability of both the state and federal governments to utilize the abundant coal deposits in Okaba in Ankpa LGA and other parts of the state to generate electricity, he posited that the iron and steel industry is laying waste.
He further said that the State has land, water resources for agricultural purposes and many more will be looked into for the rapid development of the state as the youths will be gainfully engaged for productive ventures instead of the other way round and make sure the state earns the status of the food basket of the nation.
He assured the good people of Kogi State that, if given the ticket of APC and eventually wins the election, the state will be prosperous and witness socio-economic development.

Shuaibu Abubakar Audu is the grand patron of Shuaibu Abubakar Audu Foundation , a foundation he founded after the demise of his late father , prince Abubakar Audu which aims at allevating poverty , intervening in area of education, youth and women empowerment among others thereby contributing to the growth and development of the society as the good people are happy with his past and present contribution to humanity especially in the area of water supply, empowerment and scholarship award.
Reliable source from the party secretariat says not less than 12 aspirants have paid and picked their nomination forms in the last couple of days.
