Growing up in the 70s, Ogori is a place of rich culture. A place of Absolute peace and tranquility. I was old enough to have known those who stood shoulder high, to ensure that the small community benefits from Education.

Late chief Andrew Babarimisa Oluwafemi Ogbodo was among these early educators in our community. My uncle told me that he was one of those that brought literacy, development and other benefits to Ogori.

Ogori is a beautiful place that is ruled by an Obin, the Obin cannot be without the input of akpe onokonokono. The akpe onokonokono are the chief Makers.

They are the cabinet members of the Obin. I don’t know if baba, chief Ogbodo is among this king makers, but one thing was very clear and that he was a model of his own, a king maker per Excellence, an interpreneur and the very first man that established the first bakery and employed Ogorians in the establishment. A trail blazer, a mentor to many, a pace setter and above all, a man filled with wisdom.

I remembered few years ago, when Health Care Essential for the Disadvantaged Foundation was going round the chiefs in the community to intimate them with our activities.

When the team got to his home, he took us on lots of lessons, gave us wisdom on how to sustain the good works and prayed for us. Ever since, baba has been a great supporter of the HCEDF. His timely wisdom on issues tabled before him has given us reasons to be thankful to him.

Today as Baba is about to be laid to rest, on the behalf of the Healthcare Essentials for the Disadvantaged Foundation which is ably led by Mrs Eunice Kemisi OdaiboTolufashe, we prayed that God will give our sister Dr. Mrs Susan Benjamin and the entire Of Ogbodo family the fortitude to bear these lost.

Tigure sir.
