Valerie Chapman Home (VCH) is an orphanage under the Kenny Popoola Ministry. Its major vision is to raise 1000 orphans by instilling self actualisation, nuturing greatness and providing opportunities for the orphan child at a tender age. Valerie Chapman Home (VCH) is therefore committed to raising godly children through provision of spiritual, medical, nutritional and educational care and then deliver them to the world as change agents. VCH children include: 1. The normal. 2. The abused. 3. The vulnerable 4. The HIV victim.
From a list of institutions, groups and individuals, years down the line, the Valerie Chapman Home has benefited from the altruism of Hon. Prince Collins Musa not because he is so rich but because he has a large heart and of course motivated by the Christian cardinal virtues; Faith, Hope and Love (charity). In an era where philanthropy and public service are seen as prelude to self aggrandisement, Hon. Prince Collins Musa has unobtrusively donated and offered himself to the service of humanity. In an era where compulsive service delivery is a rare privilege, Hon. Prince Collins has once again found himself a benevolent contributor to the service of humanity. Today, 14th September 2019, the Valerie Chapman Home (VCH) graciously made him their Ambassador; an ocassion which held at the Imafon- Akure township hall.
Declaring Hon. Prince Collins Musa one of the Ambassadors of the Valerie Chapman Home, the Founder and proprietor Pastor Kenny Popoola listed the duties of the VCH Ambassador which includes being an eye of the home, a representative and one who should be well informed. He recalled Knowing Hon. Prince Collins Musa right from his school days many years ago and talked him into partnering in raising orphans. Gladly accepting the Ambassadorial responsibility, Collins Musa in turn, corroborating pastor Kenny’s details said he had only been communicating with the founder online, supporting the orphanage cause and was meeting him defacto for the first time. Hon. Prince Collins Musa, holding in his arms a one year old orphan who was picked up when she was just 12 hours old, promised a monthly donation for her upkeep. Along with Hon. Prince Collins Musa, Barr. Gbolahan Oladuni Daniels was honoured with the position of an Ambassador of the Home.
Earlier, Founder of the orphanage home, Pastor Kenny Popoola conducted Hon. Prince Collins Musa and his entourage around the various properties of the Home. These are: 1. The Valerie Chapman Home School of Purpose where elementary, vocation and Arts are studied. 2. The Valerie Chapman Home Office where the staff and orphans were met. 3. The Valerie Chapman Home Permanent site and farm which has a wonderful nursery. With Hon. Prince Collins Musa is Hon. Olusola Kilani Olumo, the member Representing Ijumu State Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly and a host of other notable guests especially from Kogi State.
Reflecting on his trajectory, a point in time when his foibles avail him the opportunity of being a lifeline to indigency in its stark banality, nature indeed bestows on the humble individual to stretch out to children within an orphanage. Apparently, the nomenclature ” orphanage” resonates within the life of every individual whether “fathered” or “unfathered”, “mothered” or “unmothered” who require a helping hand. Hon. Prince Collins Musa in a rare gesture stretched forth a hand to help, albeit, without any motive until now when it has become an additive in his call to service. Let us therefore acknowledge that even in the worst of times, when destiny beckons, we should harken to that call for we do not know when the primal source of human essence has set forth a path to fortuituos end.
