Committee on Commerce , Industry and PublicPartnership has disclosed that it would contribute to make the ministry work and exploit available means to enhance the development of commerce and industry through necessary legislations
Chairman of House Committee on Commerce, industry and Public Pertnership, Hon Amodu Shehu Sheidu , Ofu State constituency who was represented by his deputy,
Hon Obaro Emmanuel ( Yagba East State Constituency )made this known during the inauguration of the committee on the floor of the House.
He said that beside carrying out oversight functions which are constitutional, the committee would explore and ensure that the ministry is placed in its rightful position to effect the social economic development of the state.
While soliciting for the cooperation of management staff of the ministry and parastatals concerned, he said “our togetherness today would give us the opportunity to rub minds and share ideas on business and growth of the state.
He assured stakeholders in the ministry of the committee members willingness to work deligently and be good partners for the state to achieve the desired progress.
The Rt Hon Speaker of the House, Umar Aliyu Yusuf thereafter inaugurated the committee
