The Majority Leader of the Kogi state House of Assembly, Suleiman Abdurazak say the assembly is poised to ensuring that the palliatives to be rolled out to states by the federal government will be equitably distributed to the intended person when it arrives the state.
He disclosed this to the assembly press corps shortly after the plenary in Lokoja in reaction to the removal of fuel subsidy by the federal government of Nigeria, in Lokoja.
The lawmaker said the legislature would engage the executive arm of government to ensure that the needed palliative gets to the people of kogi State without any form of hindrance nor political influence.
According to the majority leader he recalled that the Nationwide crises that followed the end SAS protest few years ago was a result of poor management and distribution of the Palliatives to the intended beneficiaries nothing that Government had learned a bitter lesson and would do everything possible to prevent a repeat of such situations
He maintained that an all encompassing Committee would be set up comprising all the arms of government including the media and civil society organization to ensure equitable distribution of all the Palliatives when they arrive the state.
