It’s no longer news that the Son of the late former Governor of Kogi State Shaibu Abubakar Audu has shown enormous interest in contesting for the Governorship of Kogi State. But of peculiar interest is the level of support from the western part of the State where groups of grassroots politicians have since started galvanizing massive support for his gubernatorial ambition.
Shauibu Abubakar Audu Governorship project is being made more popular by the day through a veritable support group known as
Kogi West Shauibu Audu 4 Govenor, an organization which has commenced serious level of consultation and mobilization for the son of the late Kogi Political icon and former Governor Prince Abubarkar Audu.
According to the Zonal Youth Leader of the group for Kogi West Mr Gbenga Folorunsho a.k.a Sona while talking to newsmen in Lokoja on behalf of other members disclosed that the group has identified the strong attributes of leadership in Shauibu Audu which is in line with the desires of youths in the Western kogi state and they have resolved to collectively work for the actualization of his governorship project.
The Zonal Youth leader who said that apart from coming from a very reputable family background, said that Shaibu Audu” is a golden fish has no hidden place”.
He stated that Shauibu has done well in reaching out to several communities around kogi state by providing them with motorized boreholes using his personal resources and he has been so accessible to reaching out to the less privilege people in state without making noise about his philosophic activities.
The Zonal Youth Leader emphasized that Shauibu Audu is a worthy Son of Political icon who have clenched an excellent image for himself through his numerous selfless services to the people of kogi state.
He described him as a good technocrat with deep-rooted political background and a young man with astute leadership qualities.
Mr Gbenga Sona said that the group is consisting of vibrant young people as well as experienced politicians from kogi West who have jointly identify and agreed to work assiduously to ensure that the Shauibu Audu get to lugard House in the coming governorship election in kogi state.
