YY Okala,Kogi Auditor General Shower Encomiums On Gov.Bello For Co-opting Traditional Rulers In The Process Of Governance.

Commendations trickle in for the state executive Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello over his administration’s impressive recognition of traditional rulers by coopting them in the process of governance of the state.

Kogi state Auditor General, Hajji Yakubu Yusuf Okala gave the commendation when a delegation of Gagos from the nine local government areas from the Eastern part of the State [Igala & Bassa land] paid him a solidarity visit in his office Lokoja,the state capital.

The traditional rulers who came to express their profound appreciation to the state Governor , Alhaji Yahaya Bello for his administration’s watershed and landmark achievements since he began to hold sway as the political leader of the state also forwarded some requests for his attention.

YY Okala observed that Governor Bello’s conviction that Royal fathers play a crucial roles as judges, arbiters and Chiefs security Officers in their various communities in crise situations and anchor Alternative Dispute Resolutions [ADR] necessitated his New Direction Team and ‘Do More’ administration to create new kingships, upgrade their stools and provide a congenial environment for them to contribute their own quota towards building the state.

Kogi state Auditor General opined that it is consonance with the reality that traditional rulers are closer to the grassroots that the Governor has continued to assign specific task of monitoring their domain by exposing the bad elements to security agencies for apprehension.

YY Okala however tasked the visiting Traditional Rulers [Gagos] to continue to pray for the present administration under the amiable leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello to enable him to succeed in his assignment in delivering pro-people projects as well as improving the standards of living of the people of the state .

Spokesman of the delegation, Chief Yusufu Akechi had earlier intimated their host and Kogi state Auditor General ,YY Okala that were on the mission to expressed gratitude to Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration landmark achievements in the angles of security, health, education, massive roads rehabilitation and reconstruction cutting across the three Senatorial districts of the state and human capacity development among too many to mention.

Chief Yusufu Akechi therefore solicited the assistance of the state government to intervene in the enhancement of their monthly stipend as it will serve as bait to encourage them to render useful services to their subjects and domains in general.
