A media scholar and academic who served as the Special Adviser to the former Governor of Kogi State on Education, Science and Technology, Dr Gabriel Ottah, has extended a congratulatory message to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo on his victory at the Kogi State Election Petition Tribunal.
In a statement signed by the former SA and made available to the press, Dr Ottah said the judgement had laid the foundation that would put to rest all distractions caused by court processes over the months.
He prayed God to be with the Governor as he steered the ship of Kogi.
Dr Gabriel Ottah said it was necessary for all Kogites to put every sentiment behind and rally round Governor Ododo for a long term benefit to the state.
Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo was declared winner at the tribunal challenging his victory during the governorship election conducted in Kogi State on 11 November, 2023.
SDP candidate, Murtala Yakubu, had sought to be declared winner following alleged irregularities in the process.
The tribunal struck out the case for lack of merit and credible witnesses.
