In those days our fore fathers will keep six women in their abode, till the land, hunt for meat, raise warriors, keep the tradition, fight their wars, eat fresh food, drink good wine, conquer the conquerable yet live longer and healthier but here we are men now chase pants around, waste their lives on alcohol, drugs and junk foods, waste their time pressing the phone, advertising designers on their chest and carry cheap ambitions in their heart, religion, materialism and fake lives have a made a mess of a manโs life. Indeed, we are truly in the era of the limited man.
Everything about the present generation is arranged to keep a man limited! The strength of a man is found in his ability to be alone, to read, to think, to consecrate, to imagine, to generate original ideas, map out a personal and social vision and create a legacy. This is something extremely difficult because man can no longer stay alone by himself again, it so bad that when men are alone these days they slip into depression, what a world!
The soft life is fast degenerating and killing manhood, our forefathers were not educated like the modern man; no Professor, no Ph. D, no masters, no degree, no HND, no OND yet they were more classical, resourceful and better organized than the present generation of men what a shame! If you want to kill a man then kill the animal in him. A man is like iron he needs to be forged in the fire of pain and hardship!
A man is so many things A Thinker, Adventurer, Teacher, Lover. Husband, Father, Provider, Protector, Hero, and many more, he is also an animal and a human being a man is a complex being by nature a man is not meant to be simple. A man without style, capacity, tradition, knowledge and creativity is nothing but a boy!
Man, no longer wants to lead they just want to rule, man no longer want to govern but to covet, our government have now become instrument of personal interest and aggrandizement, man no longer want to provide but leverage, man no longer want to fight but to wait, man no longer want to explore but to ball, man no longer pursues knowledge but to amuse themselves and man no longer want to invent but waste1
Everything great and courageous have been turn to feeble and myth Sango, Ogun, Alexander the great, Hercules, Julius Cesare, Shaka Zulu, Socrates, Confucius, Leonardo de Vinci, Michelangelo, Mozart, Beethoven were all men like us, let me come nearer to us; Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Winston Churchill, Napoleon Bonaparte, Nkrumah, Nyerere, Sankara, Nelson Mandela, Samora Machel and all this great man are men like us. Some say they are gods not mortals but the idea of masculinity makes man a god in his own right!
The modern-day man is a follower , fashionista, play boy, alcoholic, drug addict, religious fanatics, simp Infact is so bad that men now aim to become women o! what a world. That raging fire to get things done has long been quenched, the will to open up new frontier is no more, illumination and inspiration to dedicate oneself to something great is gone!
It so bad that men now paint themselves, weave and color their hair, use hair rings, fix themselves and even powder themselves what a world! Front and back, left and right even at the centre women are now rising to question the natural and divine role and purpose of the masculine gender, an agenda has successfully been launched to recreate the masculine agenda. The way and manner men search for wealth was the way our forebears searched for greatness, the agility with which women now search for independence is the same agility that the women of old use to care for the family.
We now have the social media man, who is the social media man? He spends half of the day in front of the screen, he has religious identity but lacking in spiritual identity, a man who feeds on amusement day and night, a man who eat junks, dedicated to alcohol and drugs, a man of inferiority complex, a man looking for fast and cheap money, a man who believes a man and woman is the same and equal, the social media man is even prepared to switch gender.
One of the foremost signs of the degeneration of manhood is lack of leadership, whenever and wherever you donโt find leadership, then man is failing to be a man, man by nature exist to lead and women by nature exist to support him in achieving this! Unfortuanlty we now live in an age where man is too distracted to be a man.
The idea of family has changed, the structure of gender is being changed, the idea of education has changed, tradition has changed, religion has changed, culture has changed, how then do we expect manhood not to have changed.
All over the world convergence is killing manhood, Education religion and life style is fast converging mankind and this itself is a treat to critical and versatile thinking! This convergence is fast shaping our lives today more than half of the world is tilting towards a liberal form of education and governance. Thinking, ideas and leadership is converging as the convergence continues to grow the propelling force of culture, tradition and language is dwindling. If men wonโt see things differently and strongly manhood will die and the world is doomed!
Our boys are spending too much time on the phones they will find it difficult to become real men, they spend too much time at the bar, they spend too much time chasing women, they are too desperate for riches, they are committed to fast wealth, boys are spending too much time in the churches and the mosques, our boys are too lazy and worst of all boys no longer read! Give them books let them read so they can become real men, drill them , make them suffer so they can become real men, teach them history, teach them tradition, teach them science, let them learn to work with their hands and think with their brains, teach them to care about the environment, teach then the art and principles of fighting, teach them to hate leverage and embrace handwork!
Fathers, friends, brother, sons and dutiful mothers man have become the dullest version of themselves at this point of our history we must do something, when you have a knife that is dull you sharpen it, it is indeed time to sharpen our boys into men! Can we still have men who will pursue knowledge like life itself, men in search of legacies, men with moral authority, men with voices, men of intellectual sagacity, men who communicates clearly, men who dresses decently, men who thinks, men of ideas, men who are fantastic lovers, men who are spiritually aware of lives energy, men who will fight for what is right, men that can lead, men who will inspire, can we?
