The caretaker chairman of Adavi LG, Hon. Bashiru Rasheed Okatengwu congratulates Adavians, Kogites and Nigerians by extension on the celebration of Democracy day.
Hon. Bashiru Rasheed Okatengwu in a statement made available through his S.A Media&Publicity, Muhammad O. Ibrahim noted that; Democracy guarantees our freedom as people which is very important to us.
He further expressed confidence in the Nigerian democratic system while noting that at a point, people are followers and at some other point, they’re leaders, it also gives opportunity to people to participate in decision making processes.
“Democracy as a system ensures that everyone exercises their rights without fear of intimidation and the system flourishes when people entrusted with power are held answerable by the people they serve. It is important that as people, we continue to trust our democratic system.”
“I want to on behalf of the good people of Adavi wish Nigerians a very blissful and happy Democracy Day”, the chairman concluded.
