We must reflect on the journey made; the strength gathered as a nation, and the readiness to hold onto the mantra of sustaining democratic principles and values.

As a sovereign nation, the ideals of national integration and social cohesion must be made to be at the front burner as we keep celebrating scores of uninterrupted democracy.

The Leadership of our dear nation must hence domesticate the collective interest of the citizens. The excruciating conditions of today connote all the challenges we faced; and it can all be traced to nosedived state of the leadership realm.

I specifically appreciate and congratulate the government of Kogi State under the stewardship of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for the tireless efforts in bringing the desired growth and development to the state — entrenching normalcy, and embracing an environment that promotes democratic culture.

As we keep evolving as a developing nation, we must be united and synergize the ties of our collective dreams and aspirations of building a progressive and formidable society that attracts peace, progress and development.

Despite the economic quagmire and the deplorable state of insecurity, Nigerian’s resilience, adaptiveness and ability to keep going must be celebrated. Hence, I leverage on this day to felicitate with all Nigerians for being compassionate, and for offering resoluteness amidst the current economic reality.

I implore all Nigerians to join the call to rebuild and remodel this country. We must all prioritize the interest of our dear Nation, and work assiduously to sterilize the polity and make it work for the greater good of the populace.

Democracy remains the systems that offers equity, fairness and justice. Let the leaders and the led replenishes their mindset to see it working for us. Together the hope and future of the black race can be sustained through Nigeria.

God Bless Nigeria.
