Eid-el-Kabir: Kogi NMA felicitates with Gov. Ododo, lauds him for prompt payment of salaries

The Nigeria Medical Association, (NMA) has felicitated with the Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo on this year Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

In a statement on Sunday signed by the Kogi State NMA Chairman, Dr Baoku Olusola, he commended the Governor for the prompt payment of doctors salaries.

According to the statement, the Governor gesture in paying salary before June 17 has ensured doctors to celebrate this years Eid-el-Kabir with much money on their hands to give to their families for this festive season.

“NMA in Kogi State is felicitating with our Muslims brothers and sisters, including the Governor of Kogi State on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir celebration. As the season signifies sacrifice as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim, it is expected of us to show much love, unite, for the peace and progress of Kogi State and Nigeria in general. NMA is happy with the things happening in Kogi State under Governor Ododo.

“This is the first of it kind in the history of Kogi State that salaries were paid before 17th of the month. Doctors will forever be grateful to our performing Governor who is doctors and workers friendly. We must commend him for his good work in the State” the statement added.

He reassured the association support towards ensuring that Governor Ododo succeed in it campaign promises on the people of Kogi State.

Eid-el-Kabir, also known as Eid al-Adha, is a significant religious festival celebrated by Muslims around the world to commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God.
