The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf has on behalf of the entire Members of the 8th Assembly heartily celebrate and rejoice with the immediate former Governor of the state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello who turned 49 on June 18, 2024.
Rt Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf who made this known in his office described the former Governor as a worthy leader who is amiable and fearless .
The Speaker who said the contributions of the former Governor to the development of the state are overwhelming, described him as a leader who came to librate the youths of the state from their shackles of backwardness .
He said at 49, the former governor was born with great charisma, talent and courage which made him to know what to do at the right time, adding that this made him to right the wrongs of many years in the state.
He said a particular case in hand was the establishment of a university in Kogi West and for this the former governor’s name will never be forgotten in history.
He averred that there is no doubt that Alhaji Yahaya Bello is a man of destiny whom Allah loves so much, which accounted for his becoming the governor of the state by providence at age 40 and ruled successfully for eight years.
While describing Yahaya Bello as amiable and kind hearted leader who wanted progress for his followers, he said the entire legislators wish him good health and many happy returns of the day
The Speaker went on to say that during his tenure as governor,it was a collection of milestones of achievements for which posterity will be kind to him, adding that all Kogites are proud of his legacies.
Still celebrating the ex governor , the Speaker thanked Yahaya Bello for his remarkable leadership style and contributions to the political equations all over the senatorial districts of the state .
This ,he said ,has reduced animosities where they have existed before , adding that Bello is a true democrat
While praying Allah to grant Alh Bello good health to celebrate many more years , the prayers of all the Members of the state Assembly is to see him being appointed into a higher political office where his wealth of experience can be used for the benefit of Nigerians and mankind.
